JOurnal # 15

Tomorrow morning, my grandparents, and Aunt Sharon are going to the beach. We are going to Jensen Beach, and it has a 40% chance of rain, which I hope it doesn't. But my Aunt Sharon says that when it rains down here its for not even 10 min. and it goes away fast, and the sun is back out. I can't wait to go to the beach and layout and get a tan! Today I layed out for a little bit and I got a sunburn on my face. But don't worry I will have that tan tomorrow! The beach is my favorite part about coming down to Florida. I can lay on that beach all day and night long. I love sitting by the ocean and hearing the water, its so nice and calming. I can think about anything there. I am also going to collect a whole bunch of seashells and bring them home with me on Monday. Like I said before I love Florida, but I miss home, and my own BED!

Journal # 14

Today is Thansgiving, and my grandma, grandpa, Aunt Sharon, and Uncle are sharing this day together. My grandma and Aunt Sharon made our wonderful dinner, and it was delicous! What I had on my plate was turkey, mashpotatoes, buns, greenbean casourole, and stuffing. And let me tell you it was GOOD! While we were eating we were watching football, and the greenbay packers won...(Boo). After, we had dinner we had pie! After, dinner we walked around the block, and enjoyed this beautiful day in Florida, it got up to 85 degrees! Boy, was it hot! My face got a little burnt, and so did my arms.

Journal #13

Today we left Winter Park, and drove 2 hours to Port. St.Lucie. I went with my grandparents and my grandpa drove. Yesterday was his 85th birthday, so as you can imagine, I had to navigate from Winter Park to Port. St. Lucie. Which was different for me cause Floridas highways are a little different. But I made it through with a little agrvation, but we got there with know problems. When we got to my Aunt Sharons I felt relieved, because I told my grandpa how to get all the way down there. We went out to dinner when we got there, and then I went straight to BED! I can't tell you how much I MISS my bed, home, and famiy! I love it down here in Florida, but its not the same as Illinois. I cant wait to be HOME!

JOURNAL #12

Today I Am in Florida and I have had a fun day.. I first woke up to somewhat warm weather. Then my grandma and Liza went to Park Ave. which is full of shoppes and such. As well, we celebrated my grandpas birthday at my Aunt Kates house..which is HUGE..I mean like millions..UNbeliveable...But the thing that I started to think about was, that I wouldnt want that big of a house to were I dont know were anything is.. or I'd get lost.. They have a theater room, workout room, they have four kids and each kid has there own huge walkin closet and not to mention there own bathroom! On top of that they have secret hidden spots around the house... such as, say your looking at the bookself, and you accidently push it, IT'LL OPEN! On top of that theres of course a built in pool,hottub, outside kitchen. I mean this house should be on MTV cribs...

Journal # 11

All of a sudden it started to get cold and windy, and walking around campus really stinks cause you freeze as you walk from building to building. I wish that some how, when it turns cold they could put some block up's to keep the cold air, and the cold wind somewhat out. But I also understand that it would cost some money, but if they do some type of fundraiser then they could earn the money for it. It's the worst way to catch a cold, breathing in the cold air, but that's why most people wear scarfs, hats, jackets, and gloves. But after a while, you get tired of dragging all that stuff around.

JOURNAL # 10

Lately, For some reason I have been going over my cell phone bill, which I don't understand Cause I don't use my phone as much. Supposely, I went over my minutes by 100 min. which I knew that was wrong. So, I called Nextel and told them about what I thought, and they did some filter run through by phone and made sure they weren't messing up, sure enough they were charging me for night and weekends, which I get free, and they fixed the problem and everything was solved, I didn't have to that outrageous bill!

JOURNAL # 9

Lately, I've been feeling stressed out. I've been getting stressed out about school, work, money, and my future. Lately, its been going to work, going to school, and same thing over adn over. By the time i get home from work, Im tired, hungry, and need to take a shower. So that means when I have homework I try to do it between my classes or after work, but when I do my homework after work I don't give it my all, because Im just so tired. Therefore, I belive I need to cut back a couple days of work, or make more money? I need to do good in school, and I need money .

JOURNAL # 8

Next week on Friday I will be leaving for FLORIDA! I can't wait, I will be gone for eleven days. I'm going to be going with my grandma and grandpa for my grandpas birthday and for Thanksgiving. I will be going to Florida and staying with my Aunt Sharon, Uncle Mike, and possibly my grandpas sister. I'm excited to go and lay on the beach and listen to the waves and FINALLY relax, without having to worry about anything! Its going to be peaceful, more quite than my house, and just relaxing with my grandma and grandpa! I can't wait!

NARRIATIVE PAPER

Since forever, Mylia has grown up in a world you never would of imagined, you wouldn't even think she came from her parents because they were not alike at all.
Ever since Mylia was little and as far back as she can remember her parents were never there for her. Luckly, she had her grandparents from her dad's side to take care of her as much as they could. They took her every single weekend, and even washed her clothes. When every Friday came, Mylia was very excited, because she was going to be able to go to grandma and grandpas house. She would go home right after school, not even caring what her friends were doing, and go pack her suitcase for the weekend, and gather her clothes, so her grandparents could wash her clothes, so that way Mylia didn't have dirty clothes. She waited until five o'clock every Friday waiting for her grandpa to pick her up, the minute she saw him coming down the driveway, she would run out the door and jump in the car.
Now, Mylia was a smart girl, knew alot of different things, adn listenend carefully to what older people were doing or saying. So, the hour ride every friday and sunday, she knew like the back of her hand.

JOURNAL #7

So my parents finally came home from Florida and I feel so RELIEVED!!!... I was actually excited to see them on Monday when they came home. I felt like I was the mother of my two sisters and three brothers, I was cooking, cleaning, helping them with homework, and taking them places, now its time for me. I know doing all this stuff isn't that hard because I've helped my step-mom with these kids for 12 years, so I felt like I had a good handle on them. So when the parents came home they brought presents for everyone, and everyone was excited and loved there gifts. They brought back more bear stuff, we have a bear theme in our living room, so now it looks better with all bear stuff. And now, its time to get back on track and keep on focusing on school!

JOURNAL # 6

Lately, I have been picking up extra shifts at work because I need more money. The worse thing to do is to get credit cards when you don't have money! I have two credit cards and it just so happens that everytime when someones birthday comes up, I put there present on my credit card because I have know money. Well, now I owe about $95.oo and I dont have the money, so know im paying in payments(which I didn't want to do) and Im having to pick up extra shifts to pay for my bills. But I would have to say that It does feel good to pay them off and feel free from having to pay bills all the time. Now after this is all done with paying off the credit card bills, my extra money I have left, im goin out and buying a new outfit for me with CASH!

JOURNAL #5

This week my dad and I have been looking for a used Ford Explorer for me. Right now I have an 1998 Dodge Avenger, and its in good condition, the only thing is that in the winter time this car is not good in the snow. When winter hits I don't even want to drive to school because the roads suck and so does my car in the winter. Last winter, I went into the ditch three times because my car and Im not used to driving in the winter, and I also get irritated by driving 30 mph on a 55 mph, so that could be a problem as well. So hopefully we will find a Ford Explorer with 4w4, so that way it'll be better for me in the winter time. The downfall of this is MORE gas, and gas is not cheap!

JOURNAL # 4

So Like I was telling you last time, my parents are in Florida and in Nov. it will be my time to go to Florida. But I will be going with my grandma and grandpa, I consider them more of my parents then I do my real parents. But anyways, we will be going to Florida in Nov. durning Thanksgiving break. My grandparents and I will be going down there to vist family, my two cousins, my grandpas sister, and my aunt and uncle. So this will be my time to go away and relax.

So.. Lately everything has been crazy, and I havent been able to sit down and really think about what is going on in my classes... last night i took the time to catch up on homework, write my paper, and study. After that I felt alot better because I felt like I was behind but really I wasnt that behind. I've been busy with work, school, and my parents left for FLorida so Im helping my uncle watch my two sisters, and my two brothers. NOw let me tell you these kids arent NORMAL kids, to be honest they get on my nerves!!! They dont listen, they dont do there homework, they run around the house and make a huge mess, and this is the last thing I want to worry about for the next TWO WEEKS!!!!!

JOURNAL # 2

So far this week has gone by fast. I've been doing all my homework, going to work, and studing. I had to take the kids to school this week, and waste all my gas. On thursday, im going to the soccer game at Waubonsee, and watching my friend Cooper. After that I am going to go home and eat, do my homework, and relax. This weekend I have quit a few things to do.. Study, pay my court fines, and pay my sticker on my car. I am also going to my grandmas/grandpas house on Sunday and visting with them!

JOURNAL #1

So far this school year has gone by good. I have been doing alot better than last year. Last semster I was going through a hard time and dropped out of school, but since then I have gotten over that and starting new. Im actually going to bed early, and waking up ON TIME and GOING to CLASS... doing my homework, and paying attention in school.... I have been working at Genoa pizza and planning on gettin a new job, and pretty much I know this semster will go good this year, and im looking forward to going to NIU. Then after NIU it shouldn't be much longer until I can become a elementry teacher.
